What this calculator does
The calculator converts your monthly price into an annual amount and adds your domain name to it. You enter how many mailboxes you need and which plan fits, and you immediately see your total annual cost. Handy if you want to make a budget or simply want to know where you stand. Calculating your business email cost in three steps
Here's what the sum looks like:
- Number of mailboxes x price per month = monthly cost.
- Monthly cost x 12 = annual cost for your mailboxes.
- Plus your domain name = your total annual cost.
A worked example with the Mailflux prices (per mailbox per month, billed annually):
- 1 Basic mailbox at €4.99 → €4.99 x 12 = €59.88 per year, plus your domain.
- 3 Pro mailboxes at €6.99 → €83.88 per mailbox per year, so that times 3 for the mailboxes, plus your domain.
- 2 Premium mailboxes at €9.99 → €119.88 per mailbox per year, so that times 2 for the mailboxes, plus your domain.
You add the domain name separately; you can bring it along or have it registered. Also keep in mind that one-off setup or migration costs may be added; that's not a fixed annual amount but something to bear in mind.
What does the result mean?
The amount you end up with is exactly what your email costs you on an annual basis, nothing more. You pay only for email and not for a full office suite with tools you might never use. If you see a higher amount than expected, check whether a lighter plan is enough: Basic (8 GB) is enough for a reliable address, while Pro and Premium add extra storage, a calendar, a task list and syncing.
That way the bill stays predictable: you know in advance what you pay, per mailbox and per year, without unexpected costs afterwards. If you grow later, you simply add a mailbox to the sum. If you shrink, one comes off. The sum always stays the same.
