Setup & how-to

Using a task list in your email

You use your task list in your email directly in the Mailflux webmail at webmail.mailflux.eu: you create tasks, give them a deadline and check them off when they're done, without a separate app. The task list is part of the Pro and Premium plans and works right in your browser, on any device. That way you keep your work organized. Below I'll walk you through it step by step.

Reading and managing email in the webmail, on any device

What you need

  • A Mailflux mailbox on a Pro or Premium plan. The task list is in those plans, not in Basic.
  • Your full email address and the password of your mailbox to log in to the webmail.
  • A browser on your computer, tablet or phone. You don't have to install anything.
  • Want to see tasks and appointments side by side? Combine them with your calendar.

Email task list: step by step

  1. Go to webmail.mailflux.eu and log in with your email address and password.
  2. Open Tasks via the menu at the top.
  3. Click New task and give the task a clear title.
  1. Enter a due date so you keep an eye on the deadline.
  2. If you wish, set a priority or place the task in a separate list to organize your work.
  3. Save the task. Check it off later with the checkbox once it's done.

In practice, this keeps everything in one place. Because the list is in the webmail, you see the same tasks on your computer and on your phone: you start at the office and simply carry on while on the move.

Tasks and calendar side by side

Your task list and your calendar are in the same webmail, so you switch with one click between what you have to do and when you plan it. Give a task a due date and you keep loose to-dos out of your head. If you work in a team, the task list nicely complements your shared calendar, so appointments and tasks don't get in each other's way.

Not working?

  • You don't see Tasks in the webmail. The task list is part of the Pro and Premium plans. On a Basic plan it's not available.
  • Your task doesn't appear. Refresh the page or check that you saved it in the right list.
  • The due date is wrong. Check the date and whether the time zone in the webmail settings is set correctly.
  • Still stuck? The current account and server settings can be found at IMAP and server settings.

Done, and need help?

Create your first task with a deadline and check it off once it's done. That way you get an immediate grip on your work. Want to see tasks and appointments together? Take a look at how you share your calendar with colleagues or keep your week organized with the online calendar.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my task list on my phone too?

Yes. The task list is in the webmail and that works directly in the browser of your phone or tablet, without installation. You log in at webmail.mailflux.eu and see the same tasks as on your computer. That way you work everywhere with one up-to-date list.

Is the task list in every Mailflux plan?

No. The task list is part of the Pro and Premium plans, together with the calendar and CardDAV/CalDAV. The Basic plan doesn't have these features. If you want to keep track of tasks in your webmail, choose a Pro or Premium mailbox.
