IMAP and server settings for your email (reference)

These are the IMAP settings for your email at Mailflux, with the ports and security that are the same in every mail program: IMAP on port 993 (SSL/TLS) for incoming mail and SMTP on port 465 (SSL/TLS) for outgoing mail. Your username is always your full email address. The exact server name is specific to your domain: you'll find it in your Mailflux account. This page is your permanent reference: come back here when you add a device.

Reading and managing email in the webmail, on any device

Prefer no settings? Use the webmail

You don't have to set anything up to use your email. The webmail works directly in your browser at webmail.mailflux.eu, on any device and without installation. Handy if you want to mail quickly, work on a borrowed device, or simply don't want to manage a separate program. You only need the server settings above if you want to add your mail to a separate mail program or app.

IMAP or POP?

Choose IMAP. With IMAP your messages stay on the server and you see the same mailbox with the same folders on every device. POP (on port 995 with SSL/TLS) fetches your mail to one device and usually deletes it from the server, so you can't find it elsewhere anymore. Unsure? The trade-offs are in IMAP or POP: which to choose. For your outgoing mail, read more on SMTP settings.

Not working?

  • Password is rejected. Watch for typos and capitalisation. Use the password of your mailbox, not that of your device or another account.
  • No connection. Check the server name from your Mailflux account and that you chose SSL/TLS on port 993 (incoming) and 465 (outgoing).
  • Incoming mail works, sending doesn't. On the outgoing (SMTP) server, turn on that authentication is required, with the same username and password as the incoming server.
  • Automatic detection finds nothing. That's normal with your own domain: set up manually with the values above.
