Sharing your calendar with colleagues

What you need
- A Mailflux mailbox on a Pro or Premium plan. Calendar and sharing are part of those plans, not of Basic.
- Your full email address and your mailbox password to log in to webmail.
- The email address of the colleague(s) you want to share with.
- Want the calendar on your phone or in a calendar app afterwards too? Then read syncing your calendar via CalDAV.
Sharing your calendar: step by step
- Go to webmail.mailflux.eu and log in with your email address and password.
- Open the Calendar from the menu at the top.
- In the list on the left, find the calendar you want to share and open its options (usually via the cog or right-click).
- Choose Share and enter your colleague's email address.
- Set the access your colleague gets and confirm.
- Click Save. Your colleague sees the shared calendar appear as soon as they log in.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each additional colleague. Want to stop sharing later? Open the calendar's options again and remove the person from the list. Handy when someone changes team or role.
Just sharing, or planning together?
Sharing means your colleague sees your calendar alongside their own. Do you want several people to keep the same schedule? Then create one shared calendar and share it with the whole team. Everyone then sees the same appointments, whether you're at the office or on the road. You don't need to share your own private calendar for that: you decide, per calendar, who you share it with.
Not working?
- You don't see a Calendar in webmail. Calendar is part of the Pro and Premium plans. On a Basic plan it isn't available.
- Your colleague doesn't see the shared calendar. Check that you entered the correct email address and ask your colleague to log in again or refresh the page.
- You can't find the sharing option. Make sure you open the options of the right calendar, not those of a single appointment.
- Still stuck? You'll find the current server and account settings on IMAP and server settings.
Done, and need help?
Share your first calendar and ask your colleague to confirm that it shows up. If it does, your team is working from the same appointments straight away. Want everything neatly in one place? See how the online calendar and agenda organises your day.
Rather not tinker yourself? We're happy to help you get going personally, or we'll simply set it up for you. Request your mailbox with no obligation and we'll sort it out together.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can my colleague also see my shared calendar on their phone?
Yes. As soon as you share the calendar, your colleague can sync it to a phone or calendar app via CalDAV. That way your appointments are the same everywhere and no one has to keep webmail open. Read how it works in syncing your calendar via CalDAV.
Is calendar sharing included in every Mailflux plan?
No. A calendar with sharing and synchronisation is part of the Pro and Premium plans, together with the task list and CardDAV/CalDAV. The Basic plan doesn't have these features. Do you want to share the same calendar with your team? Then choose Pro or Premium.
