SPF/DKIM/DMARC record checker (tool)

What the SPF DKIM checker does
The checker looks up, for your domain, whether the three records are present and correctly built. SPF determines which servers may send on your behalf, DKIM puts a digital signature on your mail, and DMARC tells recipients what to do with suspicious mail. Together they ensure your mail arrives reliably. Want to know what each record involves exactly? Then read what is SPF or view the glossary.
How you'd use it
The setup is deliberately simple:
- You enter your domain name (for example
yourbusiness.be). - The checker retrieves the DNS records and checks SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
- You see per record whether it's set correctly, is missing or needs attention, with a short explanation in plain language.
You don't need any technical knowledge for this; the result is meant to be understood, not deciphered.
This check is especially handy at two moments: just after you've connected your domain, to confirm everything is set correctly, and when your mail unexpectedly ends up in spam or gets rejected. In that last case the cause often lies with a missing or incorrectly built record.
What does the result mean?
If everything is green, your records are in order and you don't need to do anything. If a record is missing or the structure isn't right, that's usually solved with a few adjustments in your DNS. How to do that step by step is described in the guide setting up SPF, DKIM and DMARC together. Important: a single mistake in a record can already mean your mail doesn't arrive, so go through the explanation calmly.
In doubt about what a message means? Then don't change anything at random. A wrong adjustment can break more than it solves. First check the explanation or leave it to someone who manages your domain.
