Syncing your calendar via CalDAV
What you need
- A Mailflux mailbox on a Pro or Premium plan (calendar and CalDAV are included).
- Your full email address and the password of your mailbox.
- Mailflux's CalDAV server values. You'll find them in your Mailflux account or under IMAP and server settings.
- A device or app that supports CalDAV: Apple Calendar on iPhone and Mac, a CalDAV app on Android or Thunderbird on your computer.
- Want to understand what it is first? Read briefly what CalDAV is.

CalDAV sync: step by step
On an iPhone or iPad:
- Open Settings → Calendar → Accounts → Add Account.
- Choose Other and then Add CalDAV Account.
- Under Server enter Mailflux's CalDAV server value, and under Username and Password your email details.
- Tap Next and then Save. Your calendar appears in the Calendar app.
On Android:
- Install an app that supports CalDAV and open it.
- Add a new CalDAV account with Mailflux's server value and your email details, and confirm.
In Thunderbird or another calendar app on the computer:
- Choose New calendar → On the network → CalDAV and enter the server value and your email address.
In short: everywhere you use the same server value and your email details. Once the account is added, your Mailflux calendar appears automatically and stays in sync.
Why sync and not export?
With syncing your calendar stays alive: add an appointment on your phone and it's immediately in the webmail and on your other devices too. A one-time export is a snapshot that no longer keeps up afterwards. With CalDAV you set up each device just once and after that everything updates automatically. If you use several devices, you enter the same server value everywhere.
Not working?
- Connection failed. Check the CalDAV server value and use your full email address as the username.
- Password is rejected. Use the password of the mailbox itself and watch the capitalisation.
- No calendar or no CalDAV available. These features are part of Pro and Premium, not Basic.
- Appointments don't carry over. Give the app a moment to sync or refresh manually. The current server values are on IMAP and server settings.
Done, and need help?
Create a test appointment in the webmail and see whether it appears on your phone within moments. If it does, your calendar is in sync everywhere. Want everything in one clear place? Take a look at the online calendar.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Does CalDAV work on both my iPhone and my Android phone?
Yes. CalDAV is an open standard, so you set up the same account on iPhone, iPad, Android and your computer. Every change carries over automatically to all your devices. You'll find more explanation in what CalDAV is.
Can I sync a shared calendar via CalDAV too?
Yes. A calendar that a colleague shares with you can be added via CalDAV just as easily. That way the joint appointments are on your phone and in your calendar app too. Read how sharing works in sharing your calendar with colleagues.
