Security at every level
Anti-ransomware
Protection against ransomware attacks via email. Attachments and links that set out to hold your files hostage are recognised and stopped before you can open them. You notice nothing of it, except that such a message never reaches your inbox.
Anti-virus
Anti-virus and anti-spam on every incoming message. Every mail passes the scanners before it lands in your inbox, attachments included. Anything infected or unwanted doesn't get through, so your inbox stays readable.
Blacklisting
Manage your own white- and blacklists. Put senders you always want to hear from on the white list and block the ones you never want to see again. That way you tune the filtering to your own practice, without touching the rest.
Machine learning
Advanced detection that keeps on learning. The filtering recognises spam, phishing and malware by learned patterns and grows along with new tricks. You don't have to maintain any rules yourself: that work happens in the background.
2FA
Optional two-factor authentication for extra peace of mind. Next to your password, your mailbox then asks for a second code, so a stolen password on its own is not enough. You switch it on per mailbox, in every plan.
IP restrictions
Limit access to trusted IP addresses. Connections from outside those addresses are simply not allowed through. Handy if you only want to be able to log in from the office or from one fixed location.
Anti-phishing
Multi-layered protection against phishing attempts. Fake messages posing as your bank, a supplier or a colleague are checked at several levels before they reach you. Whatever still slips through is easier to spot once you know what to look for.
How the filtering works, in plain language
Every message sent to your domain arrives at the mail server first, not in your inbox. There, it is checked who the sender is, whether the message looks like known rubbish and whether the attachments are clean. Only what passes those checks shows up with you. Spam and malware are set aside or refused, so they don't interrupt your working day.
That filtering learns as it goes. New waves of spam and new phishing tricks are recognised by their patterns, not by a list someone has to keep up to date by hand. Phishing: where the filters stop and you begin
Phishing is the trickiest category, because a well-made fake contains no virus at all. It simply asks you to log in for a moment or to change an account number. Multi-layered checks stop a lot, but messages written specifically for your business remain the hardest.
That is why every technical layer comes with a human one: knowing what to look out for. The signals worth knowing are in recognising and preventing phishing. And because a stolen password is the quickest route into your mailbox, it is worth putting two-factor authentication on it.
What every plan includes
The security baseline is the same in every plan: antivirus, antispam and antimalware on every incoming message, automatic backups of your mail and optional two-factor authentication per mailbox. Connections are encrypted with TLS and your mailboxes are hosted in Europe, GDPR compliant, with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (GBA) as the supervisory authority.
