Which plan suits you?
The three plans differ mainly in storage and in what comes alongside your email. The security layer is identical everywhere, so you are not choosing between safe and less safe, but between space and extra features.
Basic: a reliable address, nothing more
Basic costs € 4.99 per mailbox per month, billed annually, and gives you 8 GB of storage with standard antimalware. That is enough if you mostly send and receive messages and don't keep attachments around for years. It is the typical choice for someone starting out, a self-employed person working on the side, or an association that simply wants a tidy address on its own domain. Not sure whether that is worth paying for? Read free vs. paid business email.
Pro: calendar and syncing included
Pro costs € 6.99 per mailbox per month, billed annually, and triples your storage to 25 GB. You get premium antimalware, a calendar, a task list and syncing through CardDAV and CalDAV, so your appointments and contacts match on your laptop and your phone. If you work with attachments, quotes or photos every day, this is usually the plan you land on.
Premium: room for years to come
Premium costs € 9.99 per mailbox per month, billed annually, with 50 GB of storage that can be expanded to 100 GB. You get the same extras as Pro, but with the space you need if you want to look up years of correspondence per file or per client. Think of practices that throw nothing away because they may still have to prove it later.
What every plan includes
Whichever plan you choose, these eight things are always part of it. You don't have to order them separately and they cost nothing extra.
- Antivirus. Every incoming message is scanned, attachments included, before it reaches your inbox.
- Antispam. Unwanted advertising and bulk mail are filtered out, so your inbox stays readable.
- Antimalware. Harmful attachments are stopped. In Pro and Premium that happens with the premium variant, which you can read more about on anti-malware and email security.
- Backups. Your messages are kept automatically, so a mistake or a broken device doesn't wipe out your correspondence.
- 2FA (optional). Switch on two-factor authentication and a stolen password is no longer enough to reach your mail.
- 20 free aliases. Extra addresses such as
info@orinvoices@that arrive in the same mailbox, without paying for a mailbox for each of them. - POP, IMAP and SMTP. The standard protocols, so Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail or the app on your phone simply work.
- GDPR compliant. Your mailboxes are hosted in Europe and fall under the GDPR, with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (GBA) as the supervisory authority.
What makes up your yearly bill
The price per mailbox is the core of it, but not your whole cost. Count on three items and you'll know in advance what a year of email costs you.
- The mailboxes. One for each person who needs their own address. Multiply the monthly price by twelve, then by the number of users. How to do that sum is worked out in how much a business email address costs.
- The domain name. A separate yearly cost that is not included in the mailbox price. You bring along a domain you already own, or we register and manage one for you. One domain is enough for all your mailboxes.
- Any setup or migration. Starting from scratch usually costs you little here. Moving existing mail, contacts and calendars from another provider can add a one-off setup or migration fee: once, in the first year. The full picture is in what email hosting really costs.
What you won't find here is an introductory rate that quietly doubles after twelve months. The price you see today is also your renewal price. Why that gap can be so wide at other providers is explained in intro price vs. renewal price.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about the price
What does a domain name cost on top?
The domain name is a separate yearly cost and is not included in the price per mailbox. What you pay depends on the extension you choose, for example .be or .eu. You bring along a domain you already own, or we register and manage one for you. One domain name is enough for all your mailboxes: ten colleagues on yourbusiness.be means ten mailboxes, but one domain.
Are there setup costs?
The price per mailbox excludes any setup or migration costs. If you are starting completely fresh, setting things up is usually done in no time. If you are moving existing mail, contacts and calendars from another provider, a one-off setup or migration fee can apply. Not sure what your situation needs? Just ask us before you order.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. If you start on Basic and later need more storage or features such as a calendar and syncing, you move up to Pro or Premium. The storage goes up as soon as you upgrade. If you are on Premium and need more than 50 GB, an expansion to 100 GB is possible.
Is the renewal price the same as the intro price?
Yes. You pay one clear price per mailbox, billed annually, with no temporary introductory rate that jumps after the first year. What you see on this page is what you pay next year too.
