What is in your mailbox
A mailbox at Mailflux is one address on your own domain, for example you@yourbusiness.be, with everything you need to work with it day to day. Every mailbox comes with 20 free aliases: extra addresses such as info@ or invoices@ that arrive in the same inbox, without paying for a mailbox for each of them. POP, IMAP and SMTP are open, so Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail or the app on your phone keep working as before. If you'd rather install nothing, you open the webmail in your browser, available in nine languages and usable straight away on computer, tablet and phone. Your storage depends on your plan: 8 GB with Basic, 25 GB with Pro and 50 GB with Premium, expandable there to 100 GB. Every plan includes antivirus, antispam, antimalware, automatic backups and optional two-factor authentication. Connecting your own domain, we do the work
Emailing on your own domain starts with that domain. If you already have one, you connect it: under the bonnet a few DNS records point your mail to Mailflux, and we help you with that. If you don't have one yet, we register and manage one for you. One domain is enough for all your mailboxes, so ten colleagues on yourbusiness.be means ten mailboxes and one domain name. After that you choose your addresses. A well-considered form, for example firstname@yourbusiness.be, lasts for years and is easy to pass on over the phone. Frequently asked questions about your mailbox
Can I use my existing domain name?
Certainly. As long as you can reach the DNS settings of your domain, you connect it to Mailflux without trouble. Your addresses then stay exactly the same, even though the provider behind them changes.
What if I don't have a domain name yet?
No problem. We register and manage a domain name for you, so you can start emailing professionally right away. The domain name is a separate yearly cost though, and is not included in the price per mailbox.
Does my own mail program work with Mailflux?
Yes. POP, IMAP and SMTP are open, so Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail and the mail app on your phone simply work. You set it up once and after that everything stays as it was, only with your new address.
How much storage do I get per mailbox?
That depends on your plan: 8 GB with Basic, 25 GB with Pro and 50 GB with Premium, which can be expanded to 100 GB. If you fill up over time, you move to a roomier plan.
Are my messages scanned or analysed?
No. Your messages are never scanned, analysed or sold on. Your mailboxes are hosted in Europe and are GDPR compliant, with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (GBA) as the supervisory authority.
